Texas school districts
Your board adopted an AI policy. Now someone has to run it.
TASB's recommended CQD(LOCAL) gives the superintendent's office ongoing AI duties: picking a training program, checking that staff complete it, and auditing over time. House Bill 3512 added Education Code 11.175(h-1), the AI-training duty for the district cybersecurity coordinator. House Bill 150 later moved the Government Code cross-reference to 2063.103. We help Texas districts put those duties in place and keep the paperwork.
Free one-page readiness check
We read your district's public policy manual and website and send back one page that covers:
- whether and when your board adopted CQD(LOCAL), and where it differs from TASB's recommended text
- whether an administrative regulation, staff AUP and training plan are posted
- whether families can see a list of approved AI tools
- three practical next steps
It's free, with no call required, and you get it within two business days. We only use public information and never touch student data.
Request my district's check(Or just reply to Michael's email with "send it.")
Next step: the CQD Implementation Sprint
A 30-day, fixed-scope project to turn your policy into practice:
- a CQD administrative regulation and staff/student AUP, as drafts for your counsel and board
- an approved AI tools list, with up to 10 tools reviewed against FERPA, COPPA and Texas student-privacy rules
- a staff AI training plan, including the cybersecurity coordinator's annual training, with completion tracking
- a 30-minute AI briefing for your board
- a plain-language FAQ for staff and families, with a Spanish draft
| Option | Best for | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Policy Implementation Pack | Small districts that want the documents and a plan | $599 |
| Concierge, first year | Districts that want us to stay involved through the first year | $1,999 |
| Sprint, up to 5,000 students | The full 30-day implementation | $4,500 |
| Sprint, over 5,000 students | The full 30-day implementation | $7,500 |
All of these are well under the $100,000 competitive-procurement threshold, so a purchase order works. We'll provide a W-9, a fixed-scope SOW, and a data agreement on your district's template.

FAQ
- Is this legal advice?
- No. We give you working drafts and organization, and your district counsel and board make the decisions.
- We already adopted CQD. Why do we need this?
- Adopting the policy and running it are different jobs. CQD(LOCAL) assigns ongoing training, verification and audit work, and the readiness check shows what's already in place.
- Do you work with Education Service Centers?
- Yes. Ask about ESC partnerships.
